Clayton M. Hood Artist Atlanta Tampa Birmingham An artist whose paintings entertain, enrich and amuse. Clayton M. Hood, artist, is making his mark on the world through his bold and beautiful paintings. Loaded with intense imagery and philosophical undertones, his works often inspire reflection and deep thought. Clayton's paintings have found their way into collections in Europe and South America, and from New York to Miami. His passion for painting has had its benefits. Mr. Hood's images have been reproduced in the pages of such publications as Impact, Watermark, Liquid and Miamigo. His brush has immortalized the memories of circuit parties and charitable events, and he is currently working on an album cover design. The themes of Clayton's work range from mythology to classic literature, from sexuality to philosophy. He has worked in such media as acrylics, oils, ceramics, textiles, and permanent markers. He has painted storefronts, canvasses, Christmas ornaments and umbrellas. He even painted an art school friend for a class project. Clayton spends his free time looking for more inspiration – in nature and people around him. He believes life is an adventure to be enjoyed, not endured. And this perspective shows in his work. Several of his images have been selected for distribution through a stock image company, and he's working on licensing agreements for some of his designs. |
